Education, not innovation, is the key to a cloudy future

I appreciate that by suggesting that innovation in the cloud is somehow a bad thing, I run the very real risk of being branded not only a neo-luddite but also a hypocrite. After all, I make my living partly out of writing about the new products and services that the cloud has to offer, and partly from helping small business implement them. But the thing is I am not really attacking innovation at all, just the almost compulsive obsession with it as the saviour of the cloud business model.
