Your nerd in a box: System Mechanic 10

The eagle-eyed will have spotted that System Mechanic has dropped a point in our overall ratings since we reviewed version 9.5 of the utility suite, and that despite a number of really quite impressive improvements. While we loved the improved value for money, and found many of the new features and enhancements to be welcome additions, we just couldn't ignore the bizarre decisions of the CRUDD Remover which, had we allowed it to go ahead and 'unclog' our system would have quite happily uninstalled all our favored web browser clients. That annoyed us so much it merited a one point ratings drop.
