Why punters should not get too scared of the cloud

Just last week I referenced the latest annual 'Encryption in the Cloud' report from the Ponemon Institute and Thales, summing up the results as the cloud losing its scare factor. If the cloud were indeed a scary place, logic suggests, would the use of cloud services not only be on the up, but be so high?
