Is LinkedIn safer for businesses than Facebook?

Which is safer for businesses: LinkedIn or Facebook? It’s an interesting question and one that I’m being asked more often as media reports of malicious Facebook postings start to penetrate the corporate psyche. But what’s the answer? Well, even though it may spit in the face of various statistical surveys and malware incident reports - including the recent hack of LinkedIn - I’ve formed the opinion that it’s the wrong question and therefore the answer is of no relevance. I suspect this position will need explaining.
