Dropbox proves to be a security problem for enterprises

The Zenprise MDM Cloud Report for Q2 2012 found that enterprises are making more than 100 different third-party apps available to their mobile users, and the most commonly blocked of these was Dropbox. In the light of the latest security problem to hit the cloud storage outfit, perhaps it's more worrying that Dropbox also appears towards the top of the 'most commonly whitelisted' charts as well. Combine this report with a survey of 1000 global CIOs commissioned by IntraLinks and conducted by Harris Interactive last month, and my concerns really start to sprint for the insecure finish line.
