Don't be afraid of evil twins in the cloud

This year has been a year of memorable twosomes: the Queen's Diamond Jubilee followed by London 2012, major flooding followed by mini-heatwaves and, of course, that double-dip recession we now find ourselves in. While considering all of these things as troublesome, I have personally managed to avoid much of the impact on a personal level. I tuned out of the Jubilee celebrations by working while the streets partied, and avoided both television and London itself during the Olympic Games.
