Backups: ten tips to keep your data safe

One-third of SMBs allow employees to choose their own data backup methods at work, according to Mozy, an online data backup service. This could be down to the fact that 60% of companies don't have any data backup budget at all. Of those that do backup regularly, 53% use external drives and 31% USB sticks - with one in ten resorting to emailing themselves copies of documents as backup. It's obvious there's plenty of confusion over what is, and what isn't, good backup practise. To help, here's what you need to know when backing up your data.
