Earlier this year Kaspersky was warning that the mobile device threat, in terms of malware at least, was evolving pretty much on a par with the desktop. That was in January when it was stated that while there had been no actual incidents of the iPhone having been targeted by live threats during 2010, the Android platform had been actively targeted by Trojans in the wild mainly in the form of premium rate diallers, or texters to be precise.
Now it seems that Kaspersky is revising the mobile malware evolution timeline a little with the publication of the intriguingly named ‘Mobile Malware Evolution: An Overview, Part 4‘ which has been published by Kaspersky Lab senior malware analyst Denis Maslennikov.
