To Catch A Hacking Bird

In 1994 I turned down the chance of a speaking role in the film ‘hackers’ in what seems like another life now. I like to think if I had accepted that role (of a wheelchair-using hacker) I could have caught a young Angelina Jolie, who played Kate ‘Acid Burn’ Libby in the movie. In your face Brad Pitt. I turned the role down, by the way, as I already had a prior commitment to attend a gaming expo. How hardcore geek (also known as really, really stupid) is that? I doubt my plan would have worked anyway, based upon the fact that I did appear as an extra in the Judge Dredd movie around the same time and didn’t manage to pull Judge Hershey (Diane Lane).
