What the hell kind of pretentious job title is distinguished analyst anyway?

My job title is freelance word monkey, it says so on my business card. I am, however, seriously considering changing it to ‘Distinguished Journalist’ but more of that later. Let’s begin with a question, and it’s timed so turn your brain on.
