Bright orange Acer G24 LCD claims highest contrast crown with 50,000:1 ratio

Acer has introduced a new 24" monitor, with a 1920 x 1200 widescreen resolution and a truly revolting bright orange bezel. But do the claims of it being the world's first LCD to support a contrast ration of 50,000:1 stand up?
