Can an adware leopard change its spots?

PC Tools has been a major player in the consumer anti-spyware security software business ever since it launched its Spyware Doctor product some years ago. Zango, on the other hand, is the brand name for those businesses previously known as 180Soultions and Hotbar which merged to become this new ‘online media company’ which is apparently committed to ‘creating a content economy.’ Of course, keen observers of online security matters, or anyone who has been infected with these content economy technologies, will recognise those names as being synonymous with adware and spyware. Indeed, the likes of Symantec and McAfee label Zango as being adware and a potentially unwanted product.
