Wireless security cracked. Again.

WEP, we are told, stands for Wired Equivalent Privacy. To which I have to reply, to borrow a phrase from Ricky Tomlinson, my arse. If that was the level of privacy my wired network had I would never use it. Indeed, according to the latest reports from a bunch of German security researchers at the Technische Universität Darmstadt 104-bit WEP can be reliably and repeatedly broken in just a couple of minutes using a new technique. How reliably? How does 95 percent probability of success sound to you? And that is not using some world of academia super-computer either, but a bog standard 1.7GHz Pentium-M based PC.
